3 Steps to Success: Start - Speak - Try

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

Here are 3 ways to have a great week. . .

It is Monday. Always believe something wonderful will happen so here are Three ways to have a great wee from The Whine Bar by Ally Brown CPC

Set yourself up to create a positive change and move forward . . .

- Start Strong. It's easier to be positive when you start positive. If your alarm goes off and you open your eyes with a growl, you are already going full speed down the Negativity Highway. Instead, think of some ways that you make your mornings a wonderful part of your day. Maybe you could:

  • Wake up with a smile.

  • Enjoy a hot shower.

  • Savor a hot cup of coffee or a delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

  • Play some of your favorite tunes while getting ready for the day.

  • Love to exercise? Wake up a bit earlier so you can work out.

  • Love to read? Factor in time for a few chapters of the latest greatest read. Need a suggestion, I hear Blast Radius is a worthwhile read. :0)

  • Want to feel accomplished? Do something that has been gnawing at you as you keep putting it off.

When your morning is more enjoyable and less rushed, you can move on with your day with a lighter, even more positive attitude.

- Speak Kindly to Yourself. The negative voices in our heads, or as I call them, the Gremlins, can influence our ability to regulate our feelings, our thoughts, and our behaviors, particularly under stress. By being mindful of our Gremlins, and by reframing what they are saying to positive messages, we instantly start to feel better about things. The more we reframe the Gremlins, the quicker it becomes second nature to do so. The less Gremlin speak that takes place, the more positive self-talk we have, the more confident we feel, and the more we can see the world as a beautiful place to be.

- Try Something New. When we step out of our comfort zones, we provide ourselves with an opportunity to see new possibilities and to learn and grow. It doesn't need to be a huge step to make a difference. Maybe take a different route to work, try out a new restaurant, or explore a new part of town. Whatever minor adjustment you decide to make in your routine may be enough of a shake-up for you to see things in a more positive light.

Whatever you do, just put some magic in your Monday . . . and in you!

REMEMBER . . . YOU GOT THIS!
