Here are 3 ways to have a great week . . .
Set yourself up to be where you want to be …
- Decide on how you want to feel at the end of the week. Happy. Satisfied. Fulfilled. Empowered. Accomplished. Whatever it is - embrace that feeling that will define success for you.
- Think about how you are going to arrive at that feeling that you want to feel at the end of the week. What do you need to do to feel how you want to feel? What do you need to do at work? At home? With the family? On your own? - Write down what you need to do to arrive where you want to be. We all think we can remember things, until we forget to turn on the dishwasher, or run an errand. This is too important to forget. You need to stay focused, but not obsessed on that word, that feeling you decided on. Set reminders on your phone each day or each hour, whichever way works best for you to not forget about you, not to forget about how you want to feel. It may sound strange, but I speak from experience . . . I do it. I have ways that I want my life to go, feelings I want to feel. So I don't "forget" I set each one as a recurring calendar event on my phone so they show up every single day, each one at a different time. Sometimes I need the reminders and sometimes I don't. When I consistently don't, then I delete it off.
The Amazon return may sit on my counter for days before I remember, but my self-care, that takes priority. If I can't fill my cup I have nothing to give others. And neither will you.
